East India Leather is an Indian vegetable-tanned leather produced by the tanneries in Trichy and Dindigul in Tamil Nadu.

The product is leather made out from raw hides and skins, which are vegetable tanned.

The uniqueness of tanning lies in understanding the visual changes that the skin exhibits in various stages on examination in sunlight and quality of water used in the process.
